How to configure the yahoo mail for McBook Pro?

Question by Brutus: How to configure the yahoo mail for McBook Pro?
I attempted the automatic configuration and the manual configuration without having success. Any suggestion?

If you are making use of safari,go to preferences,you can change settings there (if thats what you mean)

   To setup your email client for working with your Yahoo account, you need to select the POP3 protocol and use the following mail server settings:

   Incoming Mail Server (POP3) – pop.mail.yahoo.com (port 110)
   Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) – smtp.mail.yahoo.com (port 25)

   - If you are using the paid (Plus) version of Yahoo-Mail:

   Incoming mail server (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com
   Outgoing mail server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com

   I am not sure, but POP3 is not accesible to all free mailaccounts, maybe only for UK, NZ and AUS, not for US and other countries.

   Yahoo! says:

   Upgrade to Mail Plus so you can:

   * download your Yahoo! Mail in an email client, such as Outlook
   * forward your Yahoo! Mail to a different address

   I know that Gmail comes with POP3, import, forwarding etc. for free.
